3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 24, 2013 Tap (St. Urho’s, Helsinki) (5:3:6:4:13=3.1)
Gentle grainy aroma. Slightly unclear straw, peristent head. Lots of bready grains in the taste, herbal husks, a little bit floral. Nice bitter finish, almost resiny, almost metallic, but just staying shy of astringent. Floral and herbal bready retronasals. Quite full palate, but crisp carbination. Finish is quite long. Nice unfiltered pilsner, good level of hops, and nice almost milky fullness. This could be one of the steps on the way from pale lager to ale for people too shy to take the plunge.
Rerate: Tap (HBF2013, Friday) (7:3:7:4:13=3.4)
Smells like a good unfiltered lager, lots of milky milky grains. Super bready milky grains. Nice gentle dry hops. So amazingly drinkable - full, but with pleasant carbonation. Excellent pils!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Draught at St. Urho’s Pub, 20130410) The beer poured golden and almost clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, herbalness and grain. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, grain and quite clean bitterness. Aftertaste was grainy and bitter. A fruity nice pils even though not stylewise clean.
