3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 laiti (1669) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 25, 2012
Draught @ HBF ’11. Rated on 08.04.2011
Aroma is a bit stale with hops, some fruits and soapy citrus. Flavour has stinging hops, fruits and gooseberry bush. Definitely the worst of this series, probably Mt. Hood just does not work as a single hop. Feels like a boring bitter or blond ale.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 madmitch76 (6173) - , Essex, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2011
30th July 2011>br>ChrisOs ’Donkey Dork Lord’ Pre-GBBF Tasting. Cloudy gold beer, good off white head Light crisp palate. Light minerally hop - best described as very mild Sorachi Ace rather than Mt Hood. Dry finish. A single hop showcase just doesn’t work in a light beer like this IMHO.

Unclear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, earthy, soapy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110730]

A Mes rate. At Chris O’s pre GBBF. Good fruity hops all round. Lots of hoppy character and a really good bitter finish. Citric character with a bit of tropical. Really tasty considering the abv.

Draught @ Gastropub Nordic, Tampere.
Pours a dark copper colour with a white lacy head. Aroma of caramel and grassy hops. Flavour of caramel, grassy hops, citrus and some hay. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel and a dry, bitter, fruity finish. Not the best kind of hop but well balanced.
