Full-bodied dry stout, but also sweet. Very tasty. Maybe young malty taste - perhaps better a little later.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mrdasilva (120) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 10, 2007
Tight lasting brown head, almost black color. Sweet, yeasty, tropically fruity aroma. Nice, easy-going, dry flavor. Burnt ending. Ok overall.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Miksu (4012) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - SEP 13, 2007
Draught at Helsinki Beer Festival 2007. Black color with tan head. Very heavy and sweet aroma with barnyard and salty licorice. Very sweet and roasted flavor with rye, pepper and nuts. This beer is not fully fermented which makes it very cloying.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 oh6gdx (16000) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAY 18, 2007
Draught. Black opaque colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some syrupy hints also there. Also some caramel and chocolate. Flavour is surprisingly hoppy along with some roasted malts and slight touch of vinegar. Quite nice overall. A bit sticky palate.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jukkabro (3471) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 18, 2007
(Draught) As black as can be, medium sized beige head. Sweetness, caramel, not very much roastiness in aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is even sweeter with hints of roasted coffee and caramel, hops come up only mildly in drying aftertaste. Not very balanced stout.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TBone (9413) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 17, 2007
UPDATED: APR 19, 2007 Draught@HBF2007
Almost opaque black, small, mostly vanishing head. Sweetish aroma: bun, yeast and toasted malts. Medium to full bodied. Berry-like notes (black currant), a bit sweetish and roasted malty. Long roasted-bitterish aftertaste. This batch was maybe not quite ready yet and this variety of Finnish hops is propably not the best one for this stout. (6/4/6/3/12 3.1)

As Beer Hunters’ new NZPA, this one is slightly better on the site. Less berry-like, but with very sticky mouthfeel. Nice hoppy roasted aftertaste. (6/4/7/3/12 3.2)

(Draught@Helsinki Beer Festival 2007) Roasted malty and coffee/chocolate aroma. Dark brown and average size, light brownish, creamy head with good lacing. Coffee, roasted malty favour with a hint of licorice. Creamy, medium-bodied and softly carbonated palate. 14/04/07
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 14, 2007
(Draught@HBF 2007) Very dark opaque brown with a smallish, creamy and lacy head. Mild aroma of roasted malt, licorice, and some caramel. Slightly sour-milky, burned-roasty-malty flavor with quite low bitterness. Medium-bodied, smooth palate with low to medium carbonation. A quite pleasant, but a bit boring stout.
