Fresh aroma has citrus and pine, toffee. Hazy amber, thin beige head. Crisp, light feel, fresh, fizzy. ok.

Bottle @ Café Anton. Pours slightly hazy copper colour with small white head. Quite fruity aroma with mango, grapefruit, mild wheat and distant earthy notes. Nicely bitter flavour with grapefruit, banana and mild yeasty notes. Medium bodied, low to medium carbonation. Not very wheaty but has well-balanced hoppyness. Quite good and refreshing beer for the summer. Last time I drank real "kilju" by it´s very meaning was ages ago.

Pours murky orange colour with light head. Aroma of ripe fruits like apricot, yeast and pine needles. Flavour of yeast, ripe fruits and mild caramelly malts.

Tap (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Sweet. Malty body. Finish similar. A step up from the Nordic I just had, but I don’t know why. Slips down easily and not short of flavour, but fundamentally not an exciting brew. Fun name though. However, at 4.5%, it’s a bit of a lighweight.

Bottle. Amber color. Pepper and nutmeg in the aroma. Thin. Malty sweetish flavor with toffee, pear, pepper. A quite sessionable beer.

(Draught@SOPP 2011-07-28) Murky orange-brown with no head. Citrusy hops in the nose with wheaty maltiness and yeast. Slightly stingy-lemony flavor softened by yeastiness (probably a shaken keg). Quite light body (yeast makes it feel fuller, though) with low CO2. Name and label are the best things in this beer.

Draught at SOPP2011, Helsinki. Hazy copper orange color. Perfumed lemony aroma. Dryish bitter taste with citrusy hops, honey and some grainy notes. Rounded palate. Smooth and drinkable. This is very unorthodox kilju, it did not even upset my stomach.

Hazy orange golden colour with minimal bubbly off-white head. Exotic fruity hops, no bitterness and caramel sweetness in balanced aroma. Fruity hops and some bitterness in flavour. No wheat to talk about but still balanced. Short bitter aftertaste.

Pours a hazy copper colour with a small white head. Aroma of floral hops and yeast. Flavour of floral hops, yeast, sweet caramel and sugar. Quite dry mouthfeel with a fruity, floral, bitter finish. Quite far from your typical Kilju as this has hops.

Tap @ SOPP Helsinki. Pours hazy golden amber with a small off white head. Aroma is citric, malty sweet like flavor; not even close to kilju. No carbonation. Finishes short bitter sweet.
