Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Gold with a white head. Slightly sour sweaty malt aroma. Later I picked up a distinct fruitiness: perhaps blackcurrant. Oaty malt taste with a little soapiness. Mid bitter finish. Not bad.

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A golden beer with a whitish head and lacing. Sweet malts and fruit in the nose. quite fruity and chewy in the mouth. Berry flavours. An interesting and quite nice sweetness to this with a good body. More than decent.

Cask, half pint hand pulled at Bon Accord. Patchy, white surface. Clear copper coloured body. Resin hoppy nose. Resinous taste joined by caramel malts in fine harmony. Smooth bitter end. Good drinking (Glasgow, 11.04.2012).
