Bottle 66cl @ [ Tasting by Maria ].
Clear dark black color with a large, creamy, excellent lancing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate hoppy, grass, smoke notes, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic and smooth. ;o) (060608)

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is very sweet malty combined with notes of chocolate and coffee as well as light notes of alcohol and citrus from the hops. The flavor is sweet with very strong notes of coffee and chocolate, as well as medium notes of caramel. It is quite thick in the body.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of sk8viking - Santa Fe version. Opaque and pitch black with the tiniest light brown head - a little flat. Very vinous aroma with lots of raisins. Extremely full-bodied, sweetish, roasted malt accents, lots of dried fruit and a vague, ashy edge. Sweet finish without much bitterness. A lovely sipper and a bit underrated IMHO. 160607

RBSG07. From bottle. Pours balck with a chocolate brown head. Aroma is VERY surprisingly hoppy in a orange fruity way with a malt sweetness beneath. Very nice. Flavour is sweet as first but goes very dry in an instant, after the first sip the sweetness starts to stick. Ending very dry malty and strong bitter hops, still slight floral.

Bottled (Thanks omhper). Opaque black colour with small brown head. Aroma is roast, alcohol, fruits, yeast and hops. Flavour is very much the same with some mild vanilla, old coffee and salted licorice. Rather out of balance for my taste with all the sweetish sour stuff mixed into it.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2008 Bottled. Extremely black, rich firm beige head. Lots of salty licorice up front. Sweet and soft, yet very powerful. Espresso meets tobacco, but salt licorice dominates. Aniseed and alcohol combines to a pleasant ouzo flavour. Citric hops chime in and gives it a real bite in the bitterness. I really like it!

black, scant head, roasted and dry chocolate aroma that eventually comes up with some licorice sweetness, chewey chocolate flavor with lots of sweet roasted and a hint of alcohol, strong sweet licorice, after warming the body this out and the alcohol comes to the front along with a bit too much hop flavor and bitterness,

Black color; medium head. Roasted malts aroma, later there are some hops too, and very light vanilla, light alcohol. Strong body, strong dark caramel flavor, dark chocolate, light liquorice, pleasant hidden sweetness; powerful bitterness. Straight but pleasant and powerful Imperial Stout.

Black with rather large deep beige head. Not that sweet aroma with plenty of hard roasted malt, coffee and chocolate notes. Flavour has hard roasted malt, dark bitter chocolate and hops that gives it a bitter finish. Like it for not beeing cloying sweet.
