A disappointment from Beer Valley. Commonplace appearance, brown with a thin head. Flavour was unpleasant, tasted off. Unpleasant finish. I wish they make they make this no more.

BARLEYWINEO (106) - Tacoma, USA - APR 28, 2012
A: Poured a murky deep orangish with good carbonation and a decent dirty white cap S: Citrus hops and thats about it T: A murky blend of caramel, yeasty bubblegum notes and citrus hops and a light booxe sting M: Medium bodied, weird with yet more hops O: Not sure where this beer was going but it’s not anywhere close to the Winter Warmer style, not even by AHA or BJCP standards, surely not by taste

From tap at Taphouse Grill. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is smooth fruity. Light toasted malty and caramelish. Bitter, orange to grapefruity hoppy. Bitter and light fruity finish.

On Tap at Brewforia Beer Market, Meridian, ID. Hazy light redish amber witha small off white head. lingering soap-rings of lacing and foam. Fresh hoppy aroma with a quite bitter and moderatly hoppy flavor. Some woody earthy notes as well. Sharp and dry finish. Decent.

On tap at Hudson Public House. Pours like a coffee, milky texture, very unfiltered, could be mistaken for a nitro but it never settles like one. Smell is pretty malty, as is the taste. Bit of a bitter finish. Decent beer, nothing special.

On tap. Pours with a clear orange hued body with a lasting tan head. Aromas are of coffee grounds, nutty, bready, caramel malts. Decently hoppy, pine with mild esters. Flavors are nutty, noticeable diacetyl, caramel, butterscotch, pine like hoppy notes and lots of fruit esters. Medium bubbles with a sweeter finish. Not my favorite from Beer Valley. Great name though!

Can’t find any info but I see it on tap in a few places in Seattle. Hoppy almost winter ale. Big bittering hops that give that solid bitter flavor. Good. Draught at Taphouse Grille.
