BCMike22 (79), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Mar 22, 2008 Poured into snifter glass. Light colored for a amber. Malts are slight, but a little bitter. A little tart, hint of a fruit flavor. Very drinkable, but not easily distinguishable from others. Good beer. Worth a drink for sure.

IrishBoy (2043), Bakersfield, California, USA Jun 14, 2008 Bomber from Hollingshead Deli; Nose of light citrus and piney hops mixed with caramel maltiness; hazy amber with a medium off-white head; flavor is hop bitterness and more light hop bitterness witha malty caramel background; finish is hop bitterness. Much more hoppy than most ambers. bb (1950), Martinez, California, USA May 29, 2008 Bottle. Ruby amber beer with a nice dark-cream colored head. Malty, light citrus aroma. Caramel malt flavor with light chocolate and citrus. Balanced, but chocolate and citrus clash a bit. Medium bodied. Lingering caramel, nuttiness, and light citrus. spikester (350), Salem, Oregon, USA May 23, 2008 Aroma is a bit cider-like.
Pours deep amber with a very large persistent off-white head. Good amount of lacing.
Taste is hoppy for an amber ale. Enough rich malts to almost balance the hops. Hops are somewhat citrus in character and overall this brew is quite crisp for the style. From a 22 ounce bottle, label says bottle conditioned. One of the most forward Ambers I’ve had. Maybe into APA territory which suits me fine. Good value at $2.99 US for the bomber.
