Rich sweet piney nose. Delicious. Creamy medium body with plenty of active carb. Nice big oily, acidic hop bite, all pine, from the attack to the finish. Mild biscuit and caramel under that. Long resinous, biting finish. Very pleasant and refreshing--can definitely see why they would name this one for a sport that has you indoors on the couch all day in the fall and winter. Very sessionable. 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Bottle:   Deep amber, very dirty, large foamy off-white head, sticky lacing.   Looks quite tasty.   Musty malt aroma, soft hop and astringent citrus peel.   Very dusty or barnish hop flavors.   Not very bright, quite dull but its heavy.   Body and mouthfeel are average.   Finish is full of musty hops.   Tastes almost like a Pale Ale that hasn’t turned but is aged for a while.   Very musty and barnish.   Does have a very non-sweet citrus rind aspect.   Tiz decent, but would be much better had it been sweeter.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Opened up in time for the Vikings-Packers game. Satisfying beer, dissapointing game. Nonetheless, here it is: Pours a crystal clear orange colour with plenty of carbonation and a nice frothy white head. Very fresh hops coming forward on the aroma. Classic pine and citrus fruit as well. Taste was full and astringent. Hoppy yet balanced and totally delightful. Hard to believe it’s an APA and not an IPA. Great tasting brew! douglas88 (1686), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Pours a clear amber color with a thick pillowy white head. The aroma is citrus hops, light grassy elements. The flavor is smooth a nice; citrus hops, caramel, light fruit, very clean and super quaffable. This is quality. Nothing attacks you, but it stands out for its clean and balanced flavors.
