Pigskin Pale Ale is light in color yet high in malt and hop character. Crisp and clean like a well-executed touchdown pass, Pigskin Pale Ale finishes off with an end zone celebration of zesty, floral hops that says 6 points, American Style.

Poured from the bomber. Aroma is of earthy and dank hops. Colour is straw but hazy. Flavor reflects the earthy hops, but is malt balanced like a Sierra Nevada. Palate is equally balanced, not too dry, etc. Very good pale ale.

A nice light hop aroma. This is fairly bitter for just an APA. Interestingly though, it seems more bitter up front than in the middle, but a strong bitterness in the finish. I think, at least for today, I like the amber better.

Picked up a single 22-oz bomber from Liquid Solutions in Portland, OR. Pours a semi-clear golden amber brew with a thick off-white head that dissipates to a thin creamy head and some spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus zest, some light caramel malt, a touch of toffee and some white pine. Taste is quite dry bitter, medium bodied, with flavors of light caramel malt, pine, grapefruit and some vegetable. Finish is dry bitter with a lingering grapefruit aftertaste. One of the more heavy bitter APA that would challenge an IPA character beer.

22 ounce bottle bought at the Boise Co-op. Pours a clear amber color with a thick pillowy white head. The aroma is citrus hops, light grassy elements. The flavor is smooth a nice; citrus hops, caramel, light fruit, very clean and super quaffable. This is quality. Nothing attacks you, but it stands out for its clean and balanced flavors. Does Beer Valley make anything but quality?

Pours slightly cloudy amber with a big off-white head that fades leaving some lacing. Aroma is flowery and fruity hops and some caramel malt. Taste follows the aroma quite well

Courtesy of Skyview. Copper color with a large head. Citrusy aroma. Very leafy hop taste, like I just buried my face into a handful of fresh hops. Bitter, acidic taste. A little caramel malt body.

Bottle (conditioned!) Impressive citrus and floral aromas. Light amber color with a frothy white head. Medium body with creamy/chewy carbonation. The flavor is hop above pale malt, lightly roasted. The finish is nicely balanced and the bitter tends to build. It’s just an excellent brew.

Tap at Collins Pub. Crisp amber with thick foam. Light fruity hop scent. Interesting flavour! A praline coating on chewy bread and strong hops. Well balanced. A little mediciny in the aftertaste. Drinks like hoppy water.

This American Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is floral and citrusy, touch of malt. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and piney. This beer is hoppier and bitterer than a lot of IPA and IIPAs. It is most definitely a Pac Northwest beer. The bitterness has some staying power. Nice carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is bitter with some staying power.
