Sweet citrus floral hop aroma. Orange amber clear color with a half inch foam topping. Bitter with a citrus twang with a hint of apple. Itís a good IPA but seems a bit plain.

This ipa itís pretty straightforward. Nothing to write home about. Very drinkable. A little lacking on the aroma department.

Pours a clear amber with a thin eggshell head. Greenwood hops dominate the aroma but let through a waft of malt. Flavor is seriously hoppy, evergreen and rather bitter, with malty and fruity underpinnings.livey, sassy mouthfeel is fairly firm; you can feel it all the way down. Hop to this Back Bay!

Bottle at home in Salisbury, CT. Noted at 6.8%. Pours clear gold with a fine, creamy white head. The nose is all orange, grapefruit, with hints of bread and dry caramel. Light to medium sweet with dry bread, faint caramel, earth, dirty pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly astringent to finish, with pine, some leaves, dry bread, orange. OK.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is a cloudy looking medium amber orange with a lasting cream colored head. Are there actually any hops in this? I get pale malts but virtually no hops for an IPA, especially an American one. The body is about medium. The hops are a little more forward in the taste but generally itís pale caramel malts.

Beer had at beer works in boston airport. Beer enjoyable but average as a whole with no standouts. Food was ok, good for the airport the though. Tasting notes as follows: Hub light: clear, acidic, corn, short lasting boston garden golden: light, bready Patriot pilsner: warm, flat, sweet, light hop finish Fenway American Pale Ale: funky hop flavor, bitter start and finish Back Bay IPA: pleasant aroma and hop taste, simple, dry finish boston common: minimal aroma, minimal taste, flat, Beantown Brown: nutty nose, sweet candy taste, newcastle-like Buckeye oat atout: watery, light chocolate flavor

Bottle pours unfiltered orange with good carbonation, head retention and lacing. Good citrus & hop nose, adequate bitterness with minimal bready malt. Decent body, good local IPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear gold into a snifter. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface leaving scant lacing. Pine and tropical fruit aromas. Dry with harsh stale caramel upfront turning to mild resin in the lasting finish.

Draft at pub in Logan. Pours a cloudy amber orange thin thin, diminishing off-white head and soapy lace. Nose of caramel, grapefruit some apricot . Medium body. Malty, boozy, dry, bitter finish

Pours a clear copper body with a one inch frothy off white head that left some nice lacing. The nose is nicely citrusy with some grapefruit rind and orange notes. Light to moderate caramel malt. The flavor is quite bitter and heavy handed in the hops department. Lots of citrus pith and green leafy hops. Moderate caramel malt base, but the sweetness is kept in check pretty well by the hops. Medium bodied with a fairly chewy malt base and fizzy carbonation. Overall a bit harsh and brash with the hops, but at least itís not overly sweet.
