COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A hop lover’s delight, this American India Pale Ale is brewed with over 1.5 lbs. of hops per barrel. As with all IPAs, this beer is higher in alcohol, hop aroma and bitterness than regular pale ales, and you don’t have to sail to India to enjoy it.

Draught at the Boston brewpub. Good grapefruity hop aroma. Hazy golden colour. Small stable white head. Good grapefruity hop flavour. Nice clean bitterness.

on tap at the brewpub, pours light amber, thin off white head. Aroma is strong citrus and pine hops. Flavor is metallic, kind of off bread malt flavor with a strong pine hop finish that is very dry.

On tap at Boston Beer Works - Logan Airport. Pours a clear golden-copper color with an average white head. Aroma is pretty nice and hoppy. Grassy and floral with a little citrus and some pilsner malt to back it up. Flavor is pale malt along with a nice hop profile, with grapefruit and grass standing out. Good bitterness level and not too sweet. Great palate, medium-bodied and crisp with fairly lively carbonation. A surprisingly good IPA from a brewery I’d never heard of before going there.

Went to the brewpub after bosox/la game with clients. Nice ipa, full bodied with a solid malty base. Better than I expected.

A light golden IPA with a thin big bubbled white head. In aroma, nice light floral hops over smooth citrus. In mouth, a nice floral assails you, lingering, a bit bilous. Overall, a bit thin, needing a bit more malt, but good. On tap at Lowell BW, Jan. 10 2009.

A golden IPA with a thin white head. Lightly hopped aroma, very restrained. In mouth, a decent IPA, with sustained final hops, but lacking in malts and body. Overall, run of the mill and simple. On tap at Fenway brewpub, Oct. 12 2008.

(Draught, Canal Street) Poured amber and clear with medium sized white head. Aroma contained hops with soap, fruitiness and grass. Palate was of medium body and with medium carbonation. Tasted of bitteness, hops, grass and fruitiness. Aftertaste was mainly bitter.

Tap at the Salem Location: Hazy deep golden with a fading white head. Citrusy aroma with some mild resinous qualities and a touch of bready caramel malt back. Crisp carbonation. The flavor is quite bitter and piny. Has a balancing malt presence- mild pale malt provides a body behind the abrupt long piny C-hop bitterness of grapefruit rind. A decent one-dimensional IPA.

On tap at the Canal Street location. Quite pale and a little underpowered for an IPA. Fresh and clean but lacks impact. Some grapefruit at the back end. Served very cold but actually opens up as it warms. Unfortunately, most of the pint was gone by then (I was thirsty).

On tap during the annual Boston/Salem/Marble head tour. Copper pour with a slight haze. Citrus aroma with a nice biter bite. I liked it.

Draft at Fenway location. Bright orange color. Grassy floral mostly hop aroma. Ok, not great hop flavor and profile that is too dominated by a grapefruit bitterness without the citrus if that makes sense. Only bitter no fruit.
