A hop lover’s delight, this American India Pale Ale is brewed with over 1.5 lbs. of hops per barrel. As with all IPAs, this beer is higher in alcohol, hop aroma and bitterness than regular pale ales, and you don’t have to sail to India to enjoy it.

On tap: This was a well made IPA that had nice balance and a dry/bitterness especially in the finish. That said, it was quite similar to many other IPA’s as there was little memorable with it.

From the Fenway location - Poured a golden amber in color with a small white head that faded to a rim around the glass. Aroma was fairly strong of citrus and pine hops. Flavor was nice and hoppy with a medium bitterness. Some malty sweetness on the finish. Clean, drinkable... I liked it!

draught at Canal St brewpub. a decent IPA, with tons of hop flavour packed into a strong pale base. aroma is grass and citrus. dangerously easy to drink too

Pretty average IPA with decent lacing and hoppiness. There are better offerings at Beer Works to try.

TURDFERGUSON (4027) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - NOV 3, 2007
On tap at both Boston locations. Pours a yellow golden with a small white head. Nose is of citrus and spruce. Sprucey hop flavor that really gets old after you’ve had 3+ pints of this stuff.

Tap @ Salem BW as Customs House IPA. Pours a clear bright amber with a thin white head. Fruit and citrus aroma. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Clean taste with some caramel and fruit. Lingering pine finish.

SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - AUG 17, 2007
Sampled both regular and cask at Fenway location. Cask is significantly smoother, better looking, and better tasting. Rating reflects cask version. Medium yellow beer with a good white head. smells like jasmine tea and grass. Cask version is mellow with a smooth palate. Beer is very hopped with a grassy hop kick of a finish. nicely done. aroma was barely detectable at first, hops bloomed as beer warmed.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2007 got the cask conditioned. served lukewarm, bittery taste. cloudy, tons of yeast and a fruit aroma present over the hops.

This pours copper with a medium head. It has th classic citrus notes forn the hops but on the mouthfeel you get a sweeter than overly bitter flavor. It finishes balanced with light notes of bitterness.
