Pale brown and malty, this ale is an Extra Special Bitter, our version of a strong English bitter. Our E.S.B. is brewed with English malts and is dry hopped with Kent Golding hops, imparting a pronounced hop finish.

From tap at Canal Street. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and slight grassy. Light citrusy hops flavour, bitter and rather dry yet with a nice fruity impression. Ends bitter and crisp hoppy.

GBBF. Cask. Cloudy brown beer. Soft dry palate. Mild carbonation. A little sour malt. Very light hops. Okay but a bit uninspiring.

(Draught) Pours a clear deep amber body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, light fruitiness, and toasted grain. Flavor of pine hoppiness, caramel, and nuts with a dry finish.

Crystal clear copper body with beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, light cinnamon. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, light nutty, cherry, chocolate. Watery light-medium body. Seems like an amber.

A deep clear orangey brown ale with a thin lacing off white head. Faint malt and light British hops. In mouth, a nice bitter beer with British hops, sustained, a bit too astringent, again, maybe due to lack of malt. On tap at Fenway brewpub, Oct. 12 2008.

Cask Stillage at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 07/08/2009 Fruity hop aroma. Mid brown coloured hazy in appearance and fruity with a crisp bitter and slightly dry malt finish. Following Brewdog Tokyo was always going to be a tough act for any beer but this was a nice one to round off 4 excellent days of drinking at the 2009 GBBF.

Draft from a long ago backlog. Pours hazy orange. Nose/taste of grassy hops, citrus and light malt. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Medium body. Good take on the style.

Tap@Beer Works, Boston, Ma. Strange one. Toasty, with berry fruit, chocolate and ash, citric hops, kind of odd for an ESB, but the flavouors worked somehow, don’t ask me me how, but they somehow molded together.
