(draft) A nice malty brown ale. Very pretty lacing. There was a bit of a coffee overtone that I could have done without. Quite good though.

Nov 26, 2008 On Tap At Fenway brew pub. Poured a dark brown with a small head. Had a strong bad aroma. Smelled as if there was a bacteria issue. Taste was very sour, maybe they should call it a belgium brown ale. Could not finish the glass.

Sep 14, 2008 Page 70 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and I had this at the Boston Fenway Park location. This might be the best Brown Ale I have had and I even ordered a second one. Only 156 of MJ’s 500 Classic Brews to go.

Jul 1, 2008 Tap at Fenway location. Pours a deep dark brown with a decent head and some lace. Aroma is light coffee, nutty chocolate and some light solvent. More dark chocolate in the flavor, toasted malts, nutty, light pineyness, caramel malts, and a thin body and weak aftertaste.

May 27, 2008 Tap @ Logan Terminal C location. Pours dark dark brown with a tan ring. Nose is light and sweet. Taste is full of chocolate some coffee and some serious chocolate malt. Overall its a quite nice nut brown.
