COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed to celebrate Salem's 5th Anniversary! Rich, deep blonde color and biscuity malt character with a hint of rummy sweetness. Complex flavors of pear, apple, and banana result from our special blend of three Belgian yeast strains. Cheers!

Served in a tulip.   Nose has lots of fruit easthers. Banana and yeast. Clove. Reminds me of a strong hefeweizen. Well above average for such an average brewpub. I found a lot of nice flavor.

From tap at the Canal Stree location. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild phenolic and light fruity. Dry, light caramelish and distinct yeasty. LIght bitter and dry phenolic finish.

tap at Canal St. location - Pours clear gold with a yeasty, lightly fruity aroma. The flavor is sweet with the presence of Belgian yeast very obvious though the fruity character is light. Decent.

1/10/2011 on tap @ Boston Beer Works (2011-476)

Clear orange beer, small off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: bubble gum, disinfectant, dentist product, mouth wash. MF: very light carbon, light to medium body. Taste: more mouth wash, bit fruity, rotten fruits, quite a lot of spices, cloves, orange peel. Aftertaste: quite bitter, oranges, some more mouth wash.

From the tap it poured straw yellow with a thin head. There was a nice dosage of yeast and spices and a lesser dosage of citrus in the aroma. The body was light and pleasant. The taste came off a bit on the tart side with a very dry finish.

Golden orange pour. Nose of spice and berries (more of the latter). Fairly fresh with a lot of sweetness. Overly sweet and chewy without any real spiciness coming through. Meh

Pours a hazy golden color with minimal head. The aroma consists of banana, clove, and alcohol. The flavor is slightly sweet with a hint of both bitter and sourness.

Approximately 4 oz pour as part of a 4 beer taster. Pour is mostly clear slightly dark golden with a nicely formed white head. Aroma is banana cloves up front, followed by some straw and earthiness. Taste starts with garlic clove, some mildly sweet fruit and then a pretty unclean dirtiness. This did improve a bit as it warmed. Palate is medium bodied, fairly flat and a dirty residual finish.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear gold color with a white head. Smelled of clove and subdued banana. Light bodied and delicately sweet with a hint of warming alcohol. As with the aroma, clove trumped banana in the flavor. There was also a bit of cereal grain. Not bad.

Sampled this on tap at the Fenway location. Pours a clear, straw yellow with a big, frothy white head. Aroma has tropical fruits, some bubble gum and slight spice. Flavor has more bubble gum, more tropical fruits, some booze and a little grass. Finish is hot from the alcohol and very fizzy. A little weird and maybe a touch over done on the alcohol.
