Dark amber/light brown color. Moderately hazy. Although the head is modest, it does leave ample blanket lace on the glass Earthy, dry malt aroma. Very faint hop nose. Better hop presence in the taste. The malt is still the stronger flavor, still earthy. The aftertaste is well balanced, but short lived. The body is richer than most with a slightly higher level of carbonation.

Pours a clear copper with a thin light tan head. Malty aroma has a hint of cloves. Flavor has more of cloves than the aroma, tasty and satisfying. Texture is fairly fizzy if a tad thin. Get your red socks on!

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Cloudy medium brown pour with a short burst of white head. Fades fast and no lacing. Flat. Some roasted caramel malts on the nose and some hops but neither jumps out as unique. Light to medium body. A little sweet malt and some bitterness at the end. Everything about this just feels routine and like a weak copy of Sam Adams.

Bottled version. Nice looking deep amber color with good carbonation and head retention. Aroma is sweet. Flavor is very malty on the sweet side. Could use a bit more hop balance, but otherwise this is fairly good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a slightly hazy amber body with a small fizzy off white head. The nose is slightly sweet and toasty with some caramel and husky malt. Light minimal floral hops. The flavor is sweet as well, thin caramel malt and husky toasted malt. Some moderate floral hops on the finish, but the sweetness overtakes the bitterness in the end. Light bodied, a bit clingy with fizzy carbonation. Pretty bland and boring stuff.

If this is "american brewing renaissance " we are in trouble. Tastes like a skinny killians. Red body with no head. Kind of an off caramel smell and not so great taste.

An orange copper ale with a thick mocha head. In aroma, light butterscotch malt with light sulfur notes. In mouth, a butterscotch malt with an oily mouthfeel, faint German hops, boring. On tap at BBW Airport, Oct. 10 2011.

From tap at Fenway. Pours clear and golden amber with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity, light malty. Sweet, malty and slight hoppy fruity. Subdued bitterness and sweet malty finish. Ends medium dry.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of hops and malt. Poured copper in color with a small, off-white/tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Very sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Sweet malt finish.

A so so Amber Ale (Red Ale). Got a 6 pack for the night after dining at Salem Beer Works restaurant. Drank 3 or 4 of them, as well as some Guinness. Did not feel so well in the morning. :(

Tasted from a bottle that was given to me as an extra in a trade. Pours deep clear amber with a frothy tan head that has real staying power. Nose is a fairly boring caramel and nutty malt with a hint of aromatic bitter hops. The flavors are a little more prevalent with caramel malt, some dough yeast, and just the right amount of hops flavor. The body is light with an oily texture, average carbonation, and a medium but sticky finish of caramel malt.
