Delicious beer. Awesome balance, and high flavor. This seemed to be something just put on offer, as it was on one of the rotating wipe-off placards. Unsure of its full history of why its a "cellar reserve". Excellent with a solid dinner I imagine. Silky palate, some hops tangible to give you meaning to your night, a good batch here.

Thought this was a bit pasty and hard to go down. Good dark color, but whatever taste that’s attempted to be added here kind of torpedoes the beer. A disappointment from Boston Beer Works.

Draught at Boston Beer Works 4/27/06. Pours a cloudy dark red color with an off white head. Nose is lightly nutty with some very nice strong malty notes. Palate is smooth and creamy. Flavorful notes of nuts and a strong malt presence, a sour apple hint in the finish.

Named the "Victory Red" when I tasted it before game 7 of the ALCS in 2007. Robust, malty and caramelly sweet nose. Poured a deep browish-golden amber with a medium-sized well-carbonated head and body. Sufficient lacing. Bready and slightly sweet, a well-crafted amber that helped the Sox take the pennant!

Growler, reads Witch City Red. Carbonation is lack a bit possible because its been 2 weeks in the growler. Despite that, its really good. Some hops and sugary sweet malts. Awesome for a Amber/Red.

Draught @ Fenway: This one pours a Reddish-amber color. It has a small white head and some lacing. A little better aroma than their other red. There are some spicy hops and a bit of caramel. The taste is a touch dry, with some spiciness and a good medium body. A good session beer.

Very hoppy with less bitterness than the IPA. Nice. The "redness" may be overstated.

12oz bottle. Surprised to see this being sold in the bottle at Julio’s. Tastes much like I remember from tasing it at the brewpub. A mild ale with not alot of character but does it goes down easy and makes for a good session beer.

Tasted from a bottle that was given to me as an extra in a trade. Pours deep clear amber with a frothy tan head that has real staying power. Nose is a fairly boring caramel and nutty malt with a hint of aromatic bitter hops. The flavors are a little more prevalent with caramel malt, some dough yeast, and just the right amount of hops flavor. The body is light with an oily texture, average carbonation, and a medium but sticky finish of caramel malt.

On tap at the Salem location. Pours a translucent ruby amber with a medium bubbly off white lacing head. Aroma of caramel sweet malts, some floral and citrus with hints of toffee and nuts. Flavors of toasted sweet malts, some caramel and nuts along with citrus highlights.
