2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft at Canal St location. The beer has a slight purple hue in a mostly clear gold liquid. I used to drink this when I first moved to New England in 2002.
It doesn’t do anything for me know but it is drinkable. If you order a full pint the bartender puts a spoon and a half of blueberries in the glass and really that is we’re all the flavor comes from. The base itself is a thin lager with a light lager yeast finish. Well the women folk sure like it come summertime but... Nothing major to report here.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Has real blueberries floating in there going up and down with the co2, neat asthetic impressions. Has a slight metallic aroma about it and lacks any real blueberry smells. Taste is somewhat bitter from the onset and the fruit is a little difficult to find with the buds. However, that real blueberry thing makes the fruit happen when you shew them up with the beer. Yes, the finish is a little less than your average fruit beer but a pretty good ioverall experience.

"best of the three we had from BBW. aroma and flavor of fresh blueberry. not much else, which is usually the problem with the average fruit beer. straw colored lite beer with fruit added. maybe a hint of softness in the feel from some wheat malt? definitely a "girlie" beer, but refreshing, and kudos for not tasting artificial."

Draught at Beerworks, Hingham, MA. Overall nice, not too prominent blueberry taste. No finish. Was served with blueberries in the glass, running up and down.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Keg at Boston Beer Works. Pours a clear golden, with lots of blueberries in it - fun! Aroma is grass, caramel, some floral hops, some blueberry. Taste is light, sweetness and bitterness with blueberry notes too. A little thin and watery, blueberries taste poor on the finish. Very mediocre and somewhat gimmicky beer.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On draft at one of the Boston locations (previous tastings). One of the better blueberry beers out there and the first one that had real blueberries floating around in the glass which has become more common nowadays.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a one finger white head that vanishes quickly leaving no lace. Nearly clear light straw color. Good carbonation and light bodied. Faint blueberry nose and flavor is a watery, tart blueberry, good lawnmower beer and not much else. $1.99 for a 12oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Marlboro, MA. Label has 4.8% ABV.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 23.06.2013, tap @ Boston Beer Works Canal St.:
Nice creamy blueberry colored head. Aroma is slightly sweet blueberry yoghurt, heather, grass, light malts. Taste is slightly fruity, blueberry, berry skin, heather, hay, light malts, grass. Short bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough, but adding berries in the glass is kind of cheating.

A perennial favorite & always on tap. A "light" (colorwise) beer that I actually.enjoy. Pours a cidery yellow. Has a sharp note in the aroma with a light berry undertone. Slightly bitter with a strong blueberry finish. I prefer mine without the blueberries in the glass. Note that if you are getting this beer on tap @ any of the Beer Works locations, you should try a beer float. Amazing with vanilla ice cream - and then I’ll take blueberries, but on the top.
