Medium Brown color, medium head. A medium bodied pale ale. Slightly roasted malts, slightly nutty with a touch of chocolate. Nice hop bitterness. Good balance, nice mix of flavors. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. After taste is fairly bitter. A little hoppy for a an American Pale Ale, but a nice beer.

A bit darker then expected of a pale. Malt sweetness in the nose, with a malt and raisen mouthfeel. Mellow hop bitterness and a fairly chewy consistancy. Nice flavorful version of a european pale ale. Was a bit sharp even being from a cask.

Brewed in California for Boston Beer Works?????? This was acidic at first, the hops was present but didn’t seem fresh or quenching. The nice malt that was more prevailant saved this from being poured into the sink.

More like a brown ale than a pale ale. Typical American ale. Nothing special, but not bad either. This would have been awesome in 1985.

Nice hopping for being a malt oriented ale.

Pours a deep dark ruby red, the head is generous and biege, the lace decent. The nose is malt with hints of caramel. Front is malt sweet, the top is light, the finish has a nice hop bite, somewhat acidic and dry, a decent drinking beer. Ranks #782 on my master beer list.

Thin head with a dark, reddish-brown body. Earthy-hoppy nose with a bit of maple syrup smell as well. Has a tree-bark and coffee flavor to it. Slightly spicy. Very interesting flavor and color for a pale ale.

Hoppy, bitter pale ale. Nice after a Red Sox game (even though they suck, go Yanks)

Surprisingly red and bitter for a pale ale. Lingering hoppy finish, but starts out nice and sweet.

I agree with others, kinda bitter for a pale. Nice light palate. Overall not bad beer.
