On tap at Fenway. Took a sip from my buddies flight of 4. First thing that came to mind was caramel and butter scotch. Creamy texture with a lot of character here. Flavor is a bit heavy but the ABV is masked very well.

Cask at GBBF 2011. Mahagony color. Thick juicy malt aroma. Sweet rich flavor with toffee, nuts, honey, strawberry jam and raisins. Warming finish. Full body. Thick malty and fruity taste, not too boozy. In the dessert beer category this is brilliant. It would be nice to cellar this.

GBBF Cask. Hazy amber beer, no head. Slight aged winey nose. Smooth silky palate, low carbonation. Sweet sweet toffee with a lovely undertone of Port. Trace of brandy liquer. Mild minerals. Warming finish. Boozy and sweet. Marvelous! Another stand out beer at GBBF. Just wish it hadn’t of sold out so quickly!

Leighton (4091) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2011
Cask at GBBF, Day 1. Pours clearish ruby with a faint film. Boozy nose, notes of fruit and toffee. Very sweet flavor, loads of candy, toffee, golden raisins and toast. Full bodied with soft carbonation and a vinous texture. Warm finish (but not hot!), lots of sugar, toffee, ripe fruits. Incredible given the ABV. A great beer.

Buttery woody aroma, some alcohol too. Apple retronasals. Packed full of toffee, it’s basically liquid toffee. Sweet and sticky. Having said that it’s surprisingly drinkable.
