In short: A sugary floral Double IPA. Moderately enjoyable even if too sweet.
How: Tap at brewpub, Lowell location
The look: Partly cloudy golden orange body topped by white ring of foam
In long: Nose is candied fruits with floral/perfumy notes. Very sweet malts here, feels like a little too much crystal malts for my liking. Lots of dried oranges. Some other dried fruits. The is fruity IPA but with the sugary sweetness (white sugar) the fruity flavour all came out as sweet dried fruits. Floral notes. A little soapy. Alcohol well hidden in the sweetness. Not a bad beer but for a Double IPA this is a little below average. Just too sweet for the somewhat timid hopping. Beer Works is not exactly renown to make hop bombs anyway so you can expect as much from a Beer Works Hop Devotion as a KFC Veggie Fervour sandwich.
