On draught at the Fenway location. On the menu as Pumpkin Works Ale but reads similar to this entry. Arrived a hazy deep orange amber with a thin-moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Dammit if they didn’t serve it with the rim of the glass dipped in cinnamon sugar. Pleasant aroma of pumpkin pie spice with mild pumpkin and sweet malt. The flavor is similar o the aroma. Medium bodied.

From tap at the Canal Street location. Pours clear and golden orange with a white head and seems to be pumpkin spiced sprinkles on top. Sweet caramelish and cinnamon sprinkles, toasted malty and rather spiced flavoured. Dry beer - sweet sprinkles. Bitter and yet slight sweet finish.

A reddish copper ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, light caramel malt with pumpkin spices. In mouth, a sweet caramel with light pumpkin spices, watery and boring. On tap at BBW Airport, Oct. 10 2011.

Little cloudy reddish amber beer, aery bubbly head, pretty stable and adhesive. The rim of the glass though was dipped in sugar with spices. Looked pretty dirty. Aroma: very sweet, cinnamon. MF: light carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus, grapefruit, cinnamon, more cinnamon. Aftertaste: cinnamon, mocha, some caramel. Pretty yuck.

A: The glass comes rimmed with cinnamon sugar, but the beer is amber with a creamy off-white head. S: Starts off with sweet malt and very moderate spices. At first the cinnamon sugar was all I could smell, so I gluttonously licked it all off the glass. After that just a lot of bread and some toffee. T: Only a bit of pumpkin flavor. Not too much in the way of spices, mostly cinnamon and nutmeg. Overall, I must say it is a bit bland. Toasted malt and bread with a bit of toffee sweetness. Very mild spice character. M: Medium in both body and carbonation. O: Sort of a lackluster pumpkin beer. Wasn’t overly spicy, though, which was kind of a nice change.

This one came in a sample of 4 beers, tiny glasses, and very expensive. Not worth it if you visit the pub to order the flight. Beer was real good though.

Warning, no pumpkins were harmed in the making of this beer....why? Because surprise surprise, no pumpkins were added. None the less this was an above average "pumpkin ale". Pours a cloudy medium to dark brown with little lacing. The aroma is extract, pumpkin, cinnomin, nutmeg, ginger and other spices. The flavor is not overly sweet. The body is nice and malty and certainly beats most pumpkin brews

2010 Tap. One of the best pumpkin ales I’ve ever had. Aroma of pumpkin sweetness, cream, cloves, and molasses. Very creamy mouthfeel, almost like a pub ale. This is such an enjoyable, excellent ale. Highly recommended.

Had one is Salem off the Tap. Poured a Copper/Orange. Didn’t have as strong a aroma as some Pumpkin Ale’s. Nice smmooth taste, clean finish with flavors or pumkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg in the finish. Very nice Pumpkin, got a growler to go.

Clear medium brown, nutmeg spice dominating the flavor, along with bittering hops, dry finish.
