| An Amber Ale brewed by Beer Works Boston, Massachusetts USA
| |
beaconstreet (810), Washington DC, USA Oct 13, 2004 Just had this today at the Fenway location. Thought it was another name for their low-carb Hub Light, but is not at all. Different color, taste, etc. Was markered up on the board, so this could be one they're testing the waters with a first public batch. I’m calling this an Amber based on its color and general flavor characteristics, and the fact it was listed as an ale. The Beer Works website (which seems to be very infrequently updated), has no info on it as of today. So if anyone has more info on this beer, feel free to add it along. All that preface said, this is what I thought of the beer :-) Soft aroma. Sweet flavor, hints of smooth creamy peanut butter. Enjoyable for being light tasting on the tounge. Medium red color, still translucent. The continuous red light atop the Old John Hancock Tower in Boston means there is rain coming. If flashing red, then snow--or in the warm weather, that the Red Sox game is cancelled. Maybe this is the inspiration for the title...
