CBC Cask Night by MBAA–pours an off white head with bubbles and cloudy gold color. Aroma is herbal/pine hops, some malt. Taste is herbal/pine hops, some malt, finishes with a bit of lemon.

This is one good ale. Got it fresh off tap and I was in heaven. Perfectly balanced and very smooth.

On tap at Beer Works, Fenway. Pours a pale yellow gold with a 1/2" white head. Mild pine hop aroma with faint malt. Anemic palate with average carbonation. Didn’t feel like much of anything in the mouth. Flavor was mild hops with a weak malt backbone. Quite disappointed in this one. It’s billed on the menu as a pale ale, not a blond. A rather inadequate beer to be named for one of the best baseball players ever.
