a pint at the Fennway local. Very deep brown to black body with thin tan head. Smells of a mild chocolate and fire roasted malt. Taste is more deep malt with a subtle spice. I think a prefer the light spice to some of the spice bombs I have tried before. The classic fresh beer works palate of course. One of the better offerings

On tap at the Fenway location. Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, spices including light clove, pepper, and coriander. Tiny hint of citrus. Flavor is roasted malt and chocolate with light spices in the finish. Strong palate. Great winter warmer- not too spiced and the base beer is sturdy and robust. Would’ve ordered another if there weren’t so many other new ones to try! 7/4/8/4/15 (3.8/5)

On draught at the Fenway location. Arrived to the table a dark brown with a moderate creamy tan head that lasted through the first two sips and left a substantial coating on the glass. Pleasant aroma of malt, wheat and cinnamon. The flavor is malt with a touch of brown sugar with cinnamon and nutmeg. I am getting notes of coriander and cardamom as well. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish. There is some mild comforting warmth at the finish as well. Medium bodied. A very enjoyable spiced dunkel.
