[Draft @ Livery] Poured a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of brett, honey, vanilla, toasted malt, grapes, leather, and citrus fruits. Taste of citrus fruits, apple, tart grape, vanilla, toasted oak, wild yeast, and a dry, tart, finish. What a surprise, this was the best beer of my trip.

clear yellow, no head, no lace. nose is airy, with the slightest spicy trace. flavor is very mild, no trace of the barrel. watery bodied, clean finish. so weak as to be non-existant.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Hair6a11 (924) - Illinois, USA - JUL 23, 2011
UPDATED: JUL 25, 2011 On tap; pour is murky light golden with a very modest head that rings the tulip. There’s hardly anything here; anyway - the nose is perhaps the highlight of this brew. Apple skins, lemon grass, a light funkiness is present. Unfortunately, the flavor profile is muted out of the gate. The apple skins, lemon zest, grassy hops, and very mild barnyard notes are pleasant, but at the end of the day, this brew needs a lot of development to reach another level.

Growler thanks to cpferris. Pours mostly clear golden with a minimal head. The aroma has a little Brett, with not too much else really to it. The flavor is somewhat Belgian with a small malt presence and some wild/bretty notes. The palate is very light with a mild acidity. Really drinkable and even refreshing.

The beer pours a hazy amber color with minimal carbonation and white foam. A lightly tart fruit aroma, perhaps a bit of peach and lemon. Some wet oak and a bit of must and straw. The flavor isn’t terribly impressive, unfortunately. A bit watery with some mustiness, straw, and oak. A moderate acidity and some lemon zest and light fruits. Light to medium in body with low carbonation.

On tap at The Livery, pours an orangish color with a nice white head, has some sour fruit notes to it but was nothing to go crazy over. Not a bad brew but nothing too special.

5th Annual MBG Winter Beer Festival, Grand Rapids. Murky orange-brown body, medium cream head. Oaky nose, sour and fruity, tangy, and herbal. Quite oaky body, lactic and tangy, with sour, tart fruits. Good complexity.

Growler shared by kmweaver on 7/17/08: Pours a hazy orange bronze with a nicely-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of lightly sweet toasty malts and fresh vinous oaky complexity with a touch of grassy hay. Body starts with good carbonation and semi-tart white grape balance along with drier woody earthy flavors toward a crisp finish. Nicely aged and complex.
