Opaque black color with a medium sized, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, oak, bourbon, smoke, roasted malts, dark chocolate, and alcohol. Taste of dark chocolate, smoke, vanilla, oak, wood, nuts, tobacco, and bourbony alcohol finish. Thanks Ryan!

From a bottle shared at the pre-release of Olde Rabbit’s Foot (thanks to Paul and Matt). Black pour with very little head. Rich aroma of bourbon and chocolate. Vanilla bourbon flavor that blends beautifully with this incredibly good Baltic Porter. It’s quite unfair that I’ve tried this and you have not. I would love to see this released to the public.

I didn’t think I’d ever do it, but I have to give this a perfect 5. I don’t think there ever has been or ever will be a beer this good. In fact, I’m not even sure if it exists... maybe I don’t even exist. A MASSIVE thanks to Paul and Matt for graciously pouring a hefty serving of this at the ORF release tasting. It was like drinking sex with bourbon and chocolate being drizzled over you while bathing in a pool of butter. Yeah. Super smooth, incredibly delicious, and almost unfair how good it was. Cheers to Paul and everyone at Duck Rabbit for making this brew.

First of all- holy $&@#! Got a good sample of this straight from Paul and Matt at the pre-release for ORF at Foothills. Huge thanks to you guys!!!!

Pours fairly black, more super dark amber, with a small deep brown, menacing head. Aroma is simply the best smelling beer I have ever encountered: amazing Buffalo Trace bourbon, rich sea salted caramel, creme brulee, gourmet toffee, vanilla extract. Taste is very complex- actually this is less intense and in your face as the normal DR Baltic. This is more refined, smoother, way more dark fruits, dates, raisins showing through. Lots of creme brulee, caramel, sea salt, chocolate as well. Less roasty and less coffee- more fruits and bourbon. Unbelievably smooth. Simply retarded awesome. Tears of joy streaming down my face. Hurry up and get this bottled in 750s!!!!!

750 handbottle shared by frumpty and facto at the pre-footsex gathering. Pours inky black with a small tan head. Nose is very sweet with bourbon, vanilla, oak, dark fruits, dry cocoa. Rich and complex flavor profile with a beautiful balance between the bourbon and baltic porter. The Duck Rabbit’s barrel aged beers are turning out amazing.

A true stand out. Pours an inky black with an almost red hue. Aroma is heaven: wood, vanilla, chocolate, toffee, lactose, and a hint of bourbon. Flavor is much the same, with everything hanging in a great balance. Great complexity here, but the complexity never becomes muddled and the flavor comes through perfectly. On a night when the rarest of the rares were being popped, this one took the prize as far as I am concerned. Truly delicious. Can’t wait for the official release so that I can try this one again. I am a big fan of DR, and this might be their best one yet.

Huge thanks to Facto and Frumpty for sharing this at the Pre Sex gathering. Huge anticipation on this one. Pours an ink black with a thin chestnut head. The nose is huge, bourbon, oak, chocolate, molasses, mildly fruity, tannic, vanilla, warm. Flavor is super rich and complex, base BP shows through gorgeously, thick and warming, bourbon and oak mesh perfectly with the chocolaty flavors of the base beer. Wonderful beer, easily one of the best of the night. Can’t wait to see the bottles.
