tomer (160), Israel Mar 13, 2008 0.5L bottle. Hazy deep yellow colour, medium sized dense long lasting head. Textbook weizen aroma, yeast, banana and wheat. Banana continues in the taste with a strong spicy presence, especially cinamon and nutmeg. Good bitterness at the end makes this beer quite refreshing and very good with seafood, went down excellent with a Shrimp and pickeld lemon risoto.
omhper (10141), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 17, 2008 Bottled, thanks DSG! Cloudy pale golden, enormous airy head. Aroma of blood and buckwheat. Sweet and medium bodied. Flavour of custard and orange, more buckwheat than wheat malt flavour, more orange than banana esters. No bitterness. Not a typical weizen, but quite pleasant, aside from the notes of blood up front. YK23 (201), Israel May 31, 2008 Bottle: wheaty, yeasty, lemony, some spice, some banana like sweetness, light bodied, kind of boring. DSG (452), Yuvalim, Israel Oct 23, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy pale yellow color. Fruity and wheaty aroma with some banana and a bit of clove. Sweet wheaty flavor with yeast, lots of banana and a bit of spice. A bit of acidity mixed with a mild touch of bitterness in the finish. Light-bodied with a crisp mouthfeel. A very nice weissbier.
