Fresh pine and citrus hops meet roasted malts. We think it’s all the things a Black IPA should be.

Pours dark brown, almost black, topped with a hefty and nicely lasting creamy beige head. Sweet fruity and some citrusy notes, resin presence with roasty backbone, also some milk chocolate and cocoa combined in it. Some fruity sweetness supported by nice chocolate feel upfront, moderate bitterness in the finish, not too hars at all. Medium body, silky texture. Gentle bittery aftertaste with some roastiness.

ninecats (421) - Uddevalla, SWEDEN - FEB 6, 2016
Bottle. Very brown, close to black, semi white/beige foam, dissipates quickly, no lacings. Aroma is roasted malt, slight sweet, noble hops, slight cocoa. Taste is malty without being overly sweet, rich on floral hops, endig quite bitter and dry. Medium body, medium carbo, round almost creamy. This combo works surprisingly well.
