COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light malt body along with zesty citrus aromas and flavours combine in this Pale Ale, where Eastern European hops meet West coast America.

Very refreshing aroma of grapefruit, honey, lemon and caramel. Pours golden with a tall white, frothy head. Surprisingly balanced, bitter taste of grapefruit to start with a sweeter finish. Quite light body, average carbonation, long aftertaste. I quite like this, though it’s a wee bit on the light side.

330ml can at home in Richmond as ’Beerbliotek Bobek Citra #5 American Pale Ale’, 5.5%, BB Dec 2016. Dirty orange brown, hazy, opaque, foamy off-white head. Aroma is glucose syrup, some honey, light toffee, gloopy stewed fruits. Body is a little foamy, soft carbonation. Taste is brown sugar, simple syrup, raisin, light resin, touch woody. This is a pretty simple and sweet beer. Made well enough but, for style, just OK.

-short review- Orange, tropical fruit, some caramel. Well balanced beer. Nothing stands out.

A nice pale. The citra hops give it some loft in the mouthfeel. Simple but tasty.

Can. Hazy amber body with a medium off-white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon, white sugar and gooseberry. Flavour of lemon drops and watery grain. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. The packaging design is more sophisticated than the beer contained within - the flavour is quite weak and wishy-washy.

Keg at Salt Horse. Clear amber. Nose is resin, caramel, citrus. Tastes caramel, sweet fruits, red fruits, resinous hops, solid, good balance.

330ml can from Good Spirits Co. Wine & Beer. Muddy light brown, big foamy head. Hoppy malt aroma & flavour. Bitter malty aftertaste. An amber ale rather than a pale one.

This ain’t a pale ale. It’s dark brown, or amber, or some such. And don’t tell me it’s an APA - it’s not nearly malty enough to claim that title. Apart from that, it’s a pretty decent bitter.
