COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The use of 20% Rye in this Pale Ale adds a distinct tartness to the malt profile, while still allowing the aromas of floral hops and tropical fruits to shine through.

Grainy and spicey beer, with some distinctive hopping. Nice, but a bit too plain for my taste.

Aroma of malts, rye, aromatic hops, pine, mild tropical fruits. Flavour is more rye, some fruits, with some bitterness in the aftertaste. A bit light-bodied.

Bottled, batch RPCC13.01 BB 05.May.2014, large sample. Clear amber color, medium frothy off-white head. Aroma of rye, flowery, floral, bit citrus, bit soapy, lavender-like, tangerine. Bit sweet in taste, bit bitter, again quite fruity of tangerine. Quite dry it seems and the sweetness seems to come mostly from the fruity notes. The rye is a bit harsh grainy. Ok stuff.

Very high & stable amberish head over clear copper-orange beer; shards of lace. Fruity C-hops (rosewater, lychee, grapefruit) and a clear hint at ureum, and even just a tad cheesy. Some cardboard, mainly from the head. Piney, resiny hops, outspoken bitter and a bit harsh. Fruitiness all but gone in the mouth. There’s a faint mineral, nearly salty touch. Oilyness in the MF clearly hopresin-related. Medium bodied, rather low carbonation. Resin overload. I wonder where the unnaturally stable head comes from... certainly not from continiously dissolving CO²...

Bottle @ BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Pour is clear copper, hardly any head. Nose is wet cardboard with wood chip pings. Very hard bitter flavour, liquorice, not much else. Artificial after taste. Yuck...

skortila (4424) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - JAN 2, 2014
Bottled, 33cl full sample. The aroma has toffee, oranges, some pine. Cloudy, orange-brown coloured beer with a medium, off-white head. The taste is slightly sweet caramelly and becomes more hopbitter towards the finish. Citric backbone. Dry, bit harsh and fruity finish. Good flavours, but balance is a bit off.

rhyshewer (66) - Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - DEC 23, 2013
Aroma: Piney, floral, orange, caramel. Appearance: Deep amber/red, fairly hazy with a medium off-white head. Taste: Medium sour, citrus, slightly salty with an edge of bitterness. Palate: Light body, slicky texture, medium-strong carbonation. Overall: Borderline IPA taste. Not bad, would have preferred more balance between rye and hop.

light beige head disappears with foam head and structured lacing. amber colour. aroma alcohol, fruity, citrus, walnut peel, yeasty. taste like aroma with a long bitter finish, hint soapy. dry mouthfeel, rather thin body, quite carbonated. bottle 33 cl / bbf may-2014
