Bottle shared by Dmac. Pours out an odd rootbeer color with a strange whispy head. Aroma is of caramel, old sugar, and some bread. Taste is some light caramel, sticky sweetness, stale bread, light malt. Meh

Bottle from Cranbury Buy-Rite. This was pretty horrible. Here are my notes word for word "skunk, plastic, alcohol, pennies, od mouthfeel, dry finish, creamy, lots of bread, grains, dark bread...BLAH" That about sums this one up.

Clear dark rubied brown, loose off white foam. Aroma is nutty, metallic, malty sweetness. Taste is lightly sweet, thin, slightly metallic, but not offensive.

0.33l bottle courtesy of ClubGonzo. Thanks man! My first ever beer from Lao, and my first american dark lager! This one pours a clear deep deep red-brown body with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is dark fruity, notes of dark malts, malt extract, chocolate paper and some caramel. Light but not thin-oily mouthfeeling, average carbonation and quite medium-bodied. Tastes light sweet and quite malty. Also some notes of ripe dark fruits, some thin caramel, medium bitterness and it ends nice and malty. There’s also a somewhat mild smoky note wrapping it all together. Nice dark flavors. Thanks Stian! Or as they say in Laos: .. Well, actually I don’t know what they say in Laos, but I’m sure you get the picture.

Bottle. Light to moderate grain and nutty aromas for the malt, faint herbs for the hops, with notes of port wine, brown sugar and fruitcake. Head is average size, fizzy, dark off-white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear copper. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and slightly bitter. Palate is medium, slick with a lively carbonation and a metallic finish. This American Dark Lager starts off well with a good aroma but the taste and palate had some off notes to them.

Kind of like a light dark beer, if that makes any sense. Not super dark, a fairly thin taste. Drank in a 350 ml bottle in Luang Nam pha at an outdoor market

Coffee brown with a good head. Mildly roasted on the nose with a bit of grain and hay. Medium nectar with good carbonation. Mildly sweet with nuances of hay dried brown fruit. Decent bittering on the finish.

Bottle. Alcohol, sweet treacley smell. Roastiness like a stout, but overall more of a scharwzbier. Tastes relatively cheap. Fairly sweet and treacley in texture with a slight bitter alcoholic burn on the finish. Think Ill stick to the BeerLao

12 ounce bottle thanks to GT. Pours a dark copper color with a large beige head. The aroma is nice toasted malts and cherries. A smooth sweet flavor with some biscuit, light glue, nutty and some fruit. Quite decent. I could drink a bit of this.
