2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Caramel color, a little on the dark side. Respectably holds a foamy, dirty white head. Aroma is rye and adjunct grains. Flavor is rye, caramel, corn, dirt, and occasionally metal. Probably made in rusty steel tanks in Laos. This beer is inconsistent, sometimes its good, and other times its offensive. It’s probably pretty nice if you chill the nastiness out of it.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Rated on 6-07-2010 - This bottled beer has a medium sized very fizzy off-white head with a short retention, transparent orange body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, roasty, sweet, and alcohol. The taste is sweet, malt, some caramel, and dark fruits. The palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. This is a rather blah tasting beer and thus lacks character and no WOW factor. This is a beer that I will not seek out again.

Sampled on my trip to Thailand. A really cool beer for the area, where most brews have terrible flavor. Well made and great for the area.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Brown in the glass, thick white head. The beer starts sweetish-mild. In the mainpart there is a sweet malty note, a bit roasted and kind of sharp. The ending is medium, sweetish-malty, hints of roast and only little bit of hops.
--> for a dark lager, this beer is a bit thin - not in body, but in taste. There are even hints of the alcohol, which is at 6.5% unusual and no sign of quality… --> 10/9/7/7

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Found in 12 oz. bottle at an import bar in Hanoi, Vietnam. Pours dark with a creamy foam head that lingers. Malty, caramel, with subtle hint of fruit. Came back to the bar at least 2 more times for it because most of the commonly found beers in Vietnam are extremely light and slightly flavorless and I prefer a hearty darker brew. Same price as the light local stuff (35000 VND or $1.66 USD)
