From a bottle served in a Thai restaurant in Falls Church VA. Pours a clear cola brown with an off white head. Malty aroma Hints of licorice. Not bad for the style.

Pours a dark amber almost like whiskey with a pillowed head. Aromas of grain, grass, slightly musty, and hay. Flavors of light caramel/toffee, grass, and grain. No alcohol noticed. Lightly sweet. Lightly malty with a lighter hop note. Pretty sub par.

A simple uplifting dark beer very suitable for balmy tropical nights as a change from a world of pale Asian lagers. It pours to light tan creamy head which falls away to a light lacing. The nose is one of scorched caramelized coffee bean and quite pleasant. It has a lighter than expected mouth-feel. The foretaste is reminiscent of burnt bread crust and light yeast which falls-off to an a brief after-taste of raisins and oranges.

Pours deep, clear, brown with a huge, oatmeal head. Scent is caramel, earthy, leaves. Taste is dark, baked bread, a little metallic....malty. Dark and rich for an Asian beer... Pretty darn decent.

Bottle courtesy of Kermis. The bottle looked nice. That’s where it all ends really. The flavour was a little malty and metallic. There is nothing on the palate.
