Poured dark brown with a smallish head. Sweet malts. This is type of cheap beer I like mix with a cheap corn lager to give it some taste when there is nothing else available like in Latin America and parts of Asia.

Solid Asian lager, great mouth profile, crystal malt flavors, light hops. No rice fillers

Bottle, 330ml, from a 7-11 in Bangkok. A clear brown colour with a small quickly-diminishing head. Aroma of sweet chocolate malt. Flavour has malt, a little caramel sweetness, but not much else. Moderate carbonation. Disappointing.

Bottle pour into tulip glass from Manchester Wine and Liquors. Appearance is clear, dark copper with trace sparkle, minimal off-white head, quickly fading to ring, with fair lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, fruit, English hops. Taste is fruit, caramel, English hops. Palate is light-to-medium bodied, thick texture, soft carbonation, and malty, sweet finish. Overall, good for the style. Enjoyable but not complex.

Pours a clear brown from the bottle with bubbly off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of mild caramel, but mostly clean rice lager. Taste follows with a clean bitterness and mild grassy note. Decent for what it is, but probably not gonna drink it again.

Small bottle in Vientiane, Laos. A rather nice reddish brown colour with a minimal light brown head that disappears quickly. Medium carbonation. Sweet aroma with coffee and chocolate. Malty taste with coffee. Light and sweet.. An easy drink and good for a dark lager from Asia. The extra strength helps.

Much better then we would have expected. Tastes more like a craft beer then a domestic. Pours a nice dark black with a tan head. Smells of chocolate and coffee. Taste is smooth with a bit of carbonation, some coffee and chocolate and a bit of vanilla not bad at all! Had in the bottle.

Above average for beer from Asia. For the style though, perhaps just below average. There is some caramel malt and bready flavor in there, but the balance could be better.....with some mild sour in there. I would have had this out in Indonesia given the limited choices there....but not something I would really look to here. Decent strength though and worth the try.

This bottled beer poured a medium sized very fizzy off-white head. Transparent orange body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, roasty, sweet, and alcohol. The taste is sweet malt with some caramel, dark fruits and metal. This is a rather blah tasting beer, but is country # 47 for me.

Pours a clear, amber-orange color, with a soon collapsing, bubbly head. Smells of grains, rustic bread and toffee malts, with an earthy, slightly perfumy note. Has a pleasantly light body, with a malty flavor profile to it, enriched by the beers bubbly carbonation. Tastes of a bakers chocolate, earthen foundation, together with a faint coppery note, which introduces more and more toffee to the palate. The toffee quality turns slightly sticky during the finish, with a refreshing, slightly metallic carbonation. Turns a tad one dimensional sweet, solely relying on the malts, while producing a nice earthiness, adding some depth.

Shared 11.2 oz. bottle. Pours amber and clear, with a messy white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is malty and sweet. Taste is more sweet malt and caramel. Low bitterness. Not much going on with this one.
