Bottle from Case and Keg. Brown pour very thin white head. Aroma is malty, sweet, honey and grain. Flavor is overly malty and too sweet. slight bitter finish, but not much. Meh.

Bottle. Thought this was a Chinese beer until I got home and looked it up. I guess I shouldv’e looked at the bottle a little harder. Pours a clear, pale copper/brown body with a fizzy white head. This aroma was reallly bad IMO but there are some faint caramel malts, but otherwise sour and funky. Flavor isn’t so bad. Semi-sweet, vegetable, malty. Slight hop finish. Thin bodied. Overall not horrible. I’m sure if I was in Laos I’d drink many of these.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of madsberg. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel and malt. Medium body, sweet malts and some brewing cereal. No real bitterness. Poor. 1612209

Snagged a sip of this at the WBF. Pours a medium brown. Aroma slightly sweet and a bit grainy. Flavor matched. Not a lot there, but at least not offensive. Rough carbonation.

Bottle. Very sweet, grassy nose. Dark chestnut pour with a rocky beige head. Medium slimy body. Taste is very bitter, some nutty and mildly chocolaty tones, a little girt and a lastingly dry boney aftertaste - not metallic or anything, but sort of vegetal and off. Still, enjoyed this with base food.

Il colore è anche buono, con leggera schiuma. Ma al naso e in bocca, rimane davvero poco...

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It looks nice in the glass, a dark copper colored body and a dense, off-white to light beige head. Some dried fruits in the aroma, else quite weak. Wort and caramel too. Not very interesting and pleasant, not really foul either. The flavor is very similar, semi-sweet and with a decent bitterness towards the end. Medium body and pleasant carbonation. Overall, not a beer tempting to repeat, but I guess I could drink a few if I were in Laos. 110516

I had this beer poured from the bottle while in Luang Prabang, Laos. The beer had a dark brown color with a very small off-white head which quickly disappeared without cling. It had a grainy, malty aroma with some touches of earthy hops as well. The flavor was slight sweet and malty, but also had a strong bitter grainy component. It had low carbonation and very little fizz, and was fairly smooth with a light, wet mouthfeel.

Bottle from Grima, thanks! Dark brown color. Grainy aroma with a hint of caramel. Grainy sweet flavor with hints of caramel and coffee. Nasty by-flavors.
