Musty aromas with hints of caramel malts. Pours golden amber? The bottle says dark i was expecting a dark lager? Smooth malt flavors, caramelly with grassy hop flavors. For an Asian lager I was expecting a lot worse to be honest, this might be one of my favorites from South East Asia.

12oz bottle (2009) into a pint glass. Pours clear amber with a small white head. The aroma is an off-putting combo of weak coffee from roasted malts mixed with skunk. The flavor is sweet, a little nutty, slightly skunky, and thereís a hint of sunflower seed in there.

Bottle, 6.5%. Clear brown colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour is a little grainy, has a little malt. Tastes like a cheap Vienna to me.

Huge shiny beige head. Deep dark red body with strong carbonation. Artificial earthy roasty aroma with soy sauce notes. Dry-sweet medicinal earthy taste with soy sauce notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Dry roasty syrupy soy sauce aftertaste. Yuk. Useless. (0.33l bottle, Fish and Beer, Copenhagen.)

Had this at a Thai place right across the street from Blind Tiger NYC. Typical dark light beer from an asian place. Just a tick and a good tick seeing that this is from LAOS. Dark brown transparent pour. Taste is thin with carmel and grassy tfinish. Didnít care too much for this one.

Bottle from Thai supermarket. After tasting the horrible Beerlao light lager, this was a bit of a positive surprise. Pours a deep mahogany body with a big cloudy off-white head. Nose is malty tones with slight hints of cardboard, without overpowering stuff like the lighter versions tend to. Taste is caramel malts, light roastiness and hints of dusty hops. Nicely balanced, despite certain flaws this is a rather OK brew from Laos. Surprisingly enough.

Light brown color with an aged ivory colored head. Aromas of cocoa and dark caramel. Iím catching some sharpie scents as well. Flour glue and light alcohol flavors. Bits of toasted grain and wild honey. Lifeless fell. Not real clean and as close to glue as Iíve had since kindergarten.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is of sweet malts with an ever so slight touch of caramel. Flavor is some more dry grain with again a bit of caramel. Not really great but better than i expected. Iím sure this may even be better fresh half way around the world.

Bottle. Poured koeldrank brown with thick fast dissipating white head. Sweet caramelly aroma. Medium body a little caramel, a little grassiness. Light finish a tiny bit of bitterness. Better than the pale, but not that much better
