Fancy bottle @ Hemlock, Bangkok. The pour’s medium gold with the tiniest of white heads. The nose is general sweet corn syrup, some cardboard and a bit of wood. The taste has a nice accent of banana, and otherwise general sweet pale lager flavors. Quite carbonated and a bit syrupy. Overall, I actually didn’t hate this. It’s cheap, but it hits the spot.

Bottle, Don Det, Laos. Pours pale gold with a small white head. The aroma is distinctly of cereal. The body is medium with too much sweetness. Even on a very humid night in Laos it is still plain to recognise that this isn’t a good lager.

More beer from my trip to Southeast Asia. These beers are not meant to be drank and inspected but rather drank with the local foods in the local weather. It is more about the experience. Drank this one with some amazing Khmer curry in Cambodia. Already had Ankor beer so went to this one. Slightly better. Typical fizzy yellow stuff but necessary in the weather.

330ml bottle from Tasty Life, Xiamen. Pours golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of malt with a slightly medicinal edge. Sweet finish with some bitterness. I have fond memories of drinking lots of this on Don Det. Far from the worst pale lager.
