Zinister (855), Houston, Texas, USA Jun 23, 2008 Thanks to my wife from bringing this back from Belgium! Pours a hazy yellow color with a large white rocky head. Turns into a nice coating with good lacing. Nose is apples, pear, cinnamon, and some funkyness, but it’s well balanced. Flavor is apple and pear along with sweet grains and some vanilla. Creamy and flavorful mouthfeel. Very nice beer.
sleepylopes (270), New York, USA Jul 13, 2008 enjoyed in the maxima form. light and bubbly it is quiet and a little boring. it brings fruity and spicy flavors maybe starfuit or other light fruit and a less traditional spice. jcwattsrugger (3793), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jul 8, 2008 750ml bottle @Joe’s NYC Gathering courtesy of beastiefan2k–pours a foamy white head with yellow color. Aroma is yeast, grain, earthy hops. Taste is dry, yeast, grain, earthy hops-clove, some sweetness offsets the dry @ the finish. Nice. bu11zeye (3628), Frisco, Texas, USA Jul 2, 2008 (Bottle, courtesy of Mar) Pours a cloudy golden orange body with a tall rocky off-white head. Aroma of grass, yeast, earthiness, light lemon, barnyard, and leather. Flavor of spicy yeast, biscuit, some fruitiness, florals, pepper, and coriander. mar (558), Dallas, Texas, USA Jun 29, 2008 bottle from beastiefan2k. murky yellow pour with a large white head. grassy with some esters and a slight citrus scent to top it off. very easy on the palate with a sweet almost tart flavor and a spicy aftertaste. puzzl (1715), New York, New York, USA Jun 26, 2008 Bottle provided by Eugene. Very spicy aroma, cumin, yeast, black pepper. Assertive and very Belgian in flavor, with a full, strong yeasty body. Well defined. Maybe this just tastes better because it came after so much crap, though.
