Pours dark brown in color with a small off-white head. Decent chocolate with sweet malt and dark fruits. A little bit of oxidation, too. Sort of a bland aroma. There’s a good chocolate flavor and a bit of caramel and toasted bread. The flavor is also a bit of oxidation. Medium body and carbonation.

(Bottle) Pours dark brown to black. The aroma holds chocolate, grass and metal up front with undertones of dark fruits. The flavour is of bitter chocolate, metal and grassy hops. The mouthfeel is clean and dry. Lingering afterbitterness. Medium bodied.

Bottle: pour is murky brown with a fine bubbled khaki head in this tulip. The nose is cocoa powder, Belgian yeast, and caramel. The flavor profile is slightly ashy, cocoa powder, Belgian yeast with a bit of fruit esters; the brew is fairly light bodied, finishing with some cream and sweet caramel.

Draught awhile ago. Poured dark, tannish head. Strong chocolate coffee and malt. Good.

Pours a dark chocolate color, eggshell head. Sweet, Belgian aroma. Nice flavor as well

Had this beer in lieu of a birthday cake in 2008. Its impossible to characterize how truly chocolately this beer is, but its not overwhelming, but finely tuned to the character of the rest of the roasted flavor.

Pour is jet black with a small brown head. Nose is of some chocolate and coffee, most normal stout. Taste is that of a standard stout with a slight chocolate after taste.

Pour is black with a thin brown head. Lacing is decent when the head fades into nothingness. Aroma is bitterness with some dark Belgian chocolate. Flavor is like a Irish dry stout with a slight bitterness in the finish. Aftertaste is of pure dark chocolate.
