Cask handpull, ’The Pub’, Leicester. Pale with a tenacious white head. Grapefruit and tonic water aroma, with a slice. Flowers and biscuit, toilet rug, floury malted milk under grapefruit zest: really bites with IBUs. Gum-drying and a touch too flimsy to carry the hops, but still a good beer. You know what Dr Morton’s going to give you, and invariably he does.

Cask conditioned at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Gold with white head. Heady hoppy crisp beer, loads of fruity, grapefruit, orange notes on a biscuity, grainy body. Lasting, cleansing bitterness, we really enjoyed this in an excellent atmosphere. Cracking.
