COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottle conditioned, occasional; Explore the mature smooth complex flavours in this dark beer. Inspired by historic Norfolk men that reared Norfolk Black turkeys before walking with them by road to the markets in London. I think they deserved a decent beer after that!

Bottled. A deep red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of rosted malt, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Pours an opaque dark brown with a rough, light brown head. Aroma of tar and tobacco. Medium-bodied with very burned malt accents, salty licorice and a distinct malt bitterness. A strange Stout indeed. 031008

Bottle, 6%. Sweet and creamy aroma. Almost black colour. Very small light brown head. OK roasted flavour, slightly bitter from the barley. Good mouthfeel. Not bad, but I expect more from style and ABV.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2011. Black as hell. Thick beige head. Liquorice burnt engine oil on aroma. Great condition in the mouth. Some fish oil. Dry on end. Everything about this beer should make me not like it. But I do. I love the dry roast finish. Rather distinctive. The dark roast dark choc comes thru. Odd individual but likeable.

Bottle conditioned, 500ml from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Oxon. Dark brown with creamy head. Quite a smokey, ashy, tobacco aroma leading to a liquorice, sourish, tarry flavour. Sweetness in the background, a little artificial. An odd beer but fairly drinkable.
