sm89walt (181), Norwich, Norfolk, England Oct 9, 2007 Bottle from the Little Beer Shop. A clear copper coloured beer with a very small white head. A crisp zestiness greets the nose along with a hint of honey. Flavours of citrus fruits and caramel malt. Quite a bitter and refreshing light-bodied beer with a lasting hoppy finish. Pleasant and easy drinking as the bottle suggests.
Ungstrup (11410), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 6, 2008 Bottled. An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet matly with notes of caramel, spices, and elderberries. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel. The body is thin. Thanks fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing. MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Oct 3, 2008 Bottle, 4.2%. Caramelly hop aroma. Hazy orange colour, no head. Yeasty flavour, orangey hop notes. OK. Rune (1814), Tromsų, Norway Sep 2, 2008 Clear, dark golden, virtually no head. Brush of bitter hops in aroma. Rounded fruit hoppy taste in the direction of grapefruits. Very average for the golden style (GBBF, 07.08.2008). wheresthepath (254), Buckinghamshire, England Aug 22, 2008 [500ml bottle from The Little Beer Shop, Blofield, Norfolk] Big whiff of sweet malt and fresh, crisp citrus on opening the bottle. Pours a deep gold/amber with a tiny, irregular white head. Slight carbonation yet quite soft mouthfeel. malt and citrus continue in foretaste with some honey. So far, so good, albeit a little watery. But.. oh no... some dry sourness creeps in as you drink more. Sourness fades into a dusty hop finish. An average beer that I wouldn’t particularly choose again. oh6gdx (6348), Vaasa, Finland Aug 11, 2008 Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour with small off-white head. Aroma is sweetish bitter wood along with some grassy and flowery notes. Flavour is quite much the same. The wooden notes stay for long in the aftertaste.
