ElDesmadre (472) - Mikołów, POLAND - APR 25, 2012
Draught at the brewpub in Aviano. Light brown with a small head. Aroma is buttery, though less than in their Blonda Lager, shy hints of caramel and malt. But on the whole pretty aromaless. Watery, bland beer almost without taste, though some caramel and diacetyl are there, together with a light to medium bitterness. Bad one.

On tap, BEFeD Mestre. Color, reddish amber with a white head. Aroma, caramel and malt. Taste caramel, roasted grain, with bittersweet finish. Good beer.

Almeno nessun difetto, semplicemente una bock un po’ insulsa, ma le aspettative erano non molto migliori; del resto poteva andare peggio, poteva essere dolciona, invece hanno limitato i danni; il galletto però era bono.

Tap at BEFeD Aviano. Pale copper, thick beige head, solid lacing. Aroma is caramel. Taste is sweet and smooth with a slight bitter finish. Simple - lacks complexity.

growler thanks to SHIG, pours hazy amber with a tall frothy white head. Aroma is strong toasted malt and bread with some citrus and carmel notes. Nice sour peach and bready malt notes, some nut character but ends sweet with a nice sour apple note. Not bad.

Draught at the brewpub in Mestre
Red-amber color; creamy head. Light aroma of caramel and sweet nuts. Smooth mouthfeel, sweetish flavor, with some caramel (but simple); the final is a bit nutty.

500ml draft: poured red with a touch of brown and a big off white head which dissipated fairly quickly. Mild vinegar aroma, with some sulphur notes. I’m thinking this might not be what the brewer intended but will rate it as I drank it. The flavor is mildly buttery with some sour notes to it. Not really offensive but it left me wondering. Good body. I really didn’t mind the buttery notes and drank it anyway. Mild sweet finish.

Dorqui (1552) - Brescia, ITALY - DEC 19, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 16, 2007 Draught at BEFeD N.8 (Concesio-Brescia).
Dark red color, limpid and of medium fizz. Compact and adherent foam, discreet duration. Light braced malty scent. Lean taste with notes of toasted malt, dry wood and smoke. Determined and protract bitter; light alcoholic perception although 6,5%. Medium and weak final.
