Draught: Poured a copper to red amber color with a huge off white head. The aroma is malt and fruit. Taste is sweet up front with loads of caramel malt; however that leaves behind a metallic bitter fruit finish. This is now brewed at 8% and I wouldn’t really consider it a sour. Advertised as a winter red ale.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2007 Poured a dark copper color with a medium sized light beige head. Aroma of malt, sweetness, some sourness, perhaps light vinegar. The bartender couldn’t tell me what style it was and upon my first sip, I had difficulty pinpointing a style. It may not even be an ale but drinking the entire half pint, plus bringing home a 1l growler, it leads me to believe it’s a flemish sour ale. Flavor is moderate funk sourness and fruitiness with some touches of cherry and juicy fruit gum. Light varnish notes. Weighed in at a hefty 8.3%. I thought this beer rocked pretty good. Hell, that sourness may be an infection for all I know.
