3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
From a 22oz. bottle marked batch #1 purchased a Geneís Sausage Shop in Chicago for $7.99. Into a Duval tulip glass it pours medium golden orange with a slight haze and a 3/4 tight white head that disappears to a thin film. Aroma and taste of alcohol. Bitterness along back and sides of tongue and soft palate. Long aftertaste with heat from the alcohol. A full bodied wheat ale. A hoppy wheat ale with a malt backbone without the ubiquitous citra/amarillo grapefruit hop flavor.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This one pours a dark straw color with a long lasting slightly beige head from the bottle. Malt is smooth with a bread/cereal combo thing going on, followed by a clean floral hop finish. No indication of the 7% ABV hiding within. Easily sessionable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a cold, rainy, dreary late December evening after having to get my car out of the repair shop. Appearance is a cloudy gold with a moderate white head. Aroma doesnít have much going on, light yeast and wheat. Taste is nice, dryish finish, unexpected bitterness for the style, overall itís pretty good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. Hoppy wheat/ White IPA. Orange body, foamy white head. Big brewhouse malt aroma, almost has what I would consider an Imperial Pils feel in that regard. Rather unique, sort of occupying the odd realm between White IPA and Imperial Pils. Interesting flavor profile, but a little bit of a boozy, malt liquor feel too...doesnít incorporate/hide the alcohol well. Soapy orange hop tones. OKish. Anndiesel noted that there is a hint of rye.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Binnyís in Schaumburg, IL. Clear orange-golden pour with a small soapy white head. Really nice aroma - kind of that sweet, slightly fruity Bubblicious bubble gum aroma, but not overly so, plus some husky wheat. Hint of yeast. Lighter palate but not thin. Decent carbonation. Fairly sweet on the taste, and a bit drying on the tongue late.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
16oz pint at The Map Room pours a clear orange gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose has mild candy, a little yeasty, some orange, some mild herbs, mild soap. Flavor follows, mildly sweet, hints of spice, orange, mild candy, mild straw, mild honey. Sort of a Gumball Head rip off.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A bold and hoppy wheat ale. Creamy, full mouthfeel with a bitter finish. Lots to like here. Despite the relatively high ABV this is very drinkable.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Crash landed pours a deep gold with a bubblegum juicy fruit aroma that has a bit of piney dankness. It has quite a nice light refreshing body that is soft and smooth on the palate. Along with Freebird the best I had at Begyle, great wheat body with a hoppy aroma.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is an IPA-ish American wheat. It is cloudy orange w/ a big, long-lasting white head. Thereís loads of fruity hops in this one and itís a touch sweet and not too bitter. Itís texture is nice and creamy initially but gets really way too thick and heavy as you dig in. This has decent balance but it does not nearly have the vibrant hop character that I look for in this kind of beer.
