3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
From a 22oz. bottle marked batch #1 purchased a Gene’s Sausage Shop in Chicago for $7.99. Into a Duval tulip glass it pours medium golden orange with a slight haze and a 3/4 tight white head that disappears to a thin film. Aroma and taste of alcohol. Bitterness along back and sides of tongue and soft palate. Long aftertaste with heat from the alcohol. A full bodied wheat ale. A hoppy wheat ale with a malt backbone without the ubiquitous citra/amarillo grapefruit hop flavor.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A bold and hoppy wheat ale. Creamy, full mouthfeel with a bitter finish. Lots to like here. Despite the relatively high ABV this is very drinkable.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Crash landed pours a deep gold with a bubblegum juicy fruit aroma that has a bit of piney dankness. It has quite a nice light refreshing body that is soft and smooth on the palate. Along with Freebird the best I had at Begyle, great wheat body with a hoppy aroma.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is an IPA-ish American wheat. It is cloudy orange w/ a big, long-lasting white head. There’s loads of fruity hops in this one and it’s a touch sweet and not too bitter. It’s texture is nice and creamy initially but gets really way too thick and heavy as you dig in. This has decent balance but it does not nearly have the vibrant hop character that I look for in this kind of beer.

Really good wheat beer from Chicago. Very hoppy and a little malty. Smells like hops and has a smooth finish. Had at Lincoln station.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazed orangish amber with a small white head. Aroma of herbal and pine notes. Mild wheat notes. Flavor is very bitter with mild wheat sweetness. Touches of husk, wheat. One the light side of medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes fruity and bitter. A very hop forward wheat pale ale.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz bottle, shared by beerpig317. Mostly hazy golden orange color. Good thin off-white head, nice retention. Bits and ropes of lace. Worth noting that the bottle foamed over when opened. That sort of soapy (old?) hop aroma I get a lot in belgian pales, that I personally don’t really care for. Light pepper notes, some pear aroma is better in the flavor, a lot of pepper... Medium plus body. Soft, smooth carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Moderate bitter taste, minimal sweet. Solid beg lain pale ale, not my thing, though. Aroma grows on me as I go, though. [wait, this wasn’t a belgian pale?]
