This does not stand out above the rest. It really doesn't even blend in... A little hop aroma but doesn't go anywhere...kind of reminds me of spitfuls instigator ipa... Both these new Chicago breweries have oobs of potential but need to put out more thoughtful products and lower there price point as they can not at this time compete with what many others are doing..got to give me something with this ipa.... Just eeeh.... I can't wait til they improve and I bet they will... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is minerally crisp, sharp carbonation. Light layer of creamy malt with a touch of sweetness on the back end. Hops are beguiling mix of mild skunk, light pine and mellow tropical fruits with all the elements in good balance. Finishes smoother with the creamy malt becoming more prominent and the hops turning somewhat minty. A very nice IPA that doesnít slap you round the chops but has plenty of good hop flavour. Super drinkable.

Bomber bottle: Looks pretty enough... Nice pineapple and rind character along with some faint dank undertones. A touch of earthy yeast and bready malt. Drinkable but easily forgettable.

I really like this ipa. From Chicago begyle brewery, this one is crushable. Nice blend of hopps and citrus. Had on a bomber at home to celebrate a huge sale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bomber. Pours a dark reddish hazed amber with a creamy off white head. Aroma is very floral, with spicy vine, shallot, grass and spruce notes. There are some pine and a fair amount of caramel and toffee notes as well. Flavor balanced, with medium bitterness and mild caramel sweetness. Medium bodied, slightly below average carbonation. Itís an interesting take on an IPA and works for the most part.

Bottle - Earthy hop aroma with pine and tropical fruit. Dark clear copper with a foamy white head. Up front bitterness and tropical fruit with that vegetal earthy hoppiness. A nice but average IPA.

This is a pretty down-the-middle IPA and that is not a bad thing. There are loads of hops and it is dry and drinkable. This is not a stand-out hop monster but it does what it is trying to do very well and is a clean beer in general w/o any off flavors or problems. I donít mean to damn by faint praise but this is simply a solid IPA.

Bottoe from West Lakeview. Pours a light brown, hazy with little islands. Has a malty backbone to it with a nice little pine hop kick. Easy to drink, smooth, not overpowering for the style. I enjoyed it - a nice IPA thatís a legit IPA and not over-the-top.
