3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Like the name. Glowing brown body and stable light tan head. Dark malts, nutty, some very light smoke. Pretty smooth sticky dark sugars and a roast background. Very decent, better than expected. Served too cold unfortunately. (On tap at PINT Bokbierfestival)

Had this beer at the Beiaard Beer Cafe in Hoorn (10/18/2011) A typical herfst bok, though lacking depth in the usual caramelly sweetness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
29th November 2010.
On tap at De Bekeerde Suster, Amsterdam. Clear labelled ’Bock Ros 2010’ - new recipe? Clear brown - red beer. Good creamy tan head. Light soft palate. A little dry. Trace of minerals and then slightly burned toffee. Well integrated in some supressed orangey hop bitterness. Tiny trace of bubblegum sweetness in the finish. Fresh and nicely jioned up. Postscript: Did not notice any ginger in this at all!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma of a whitbeer. Darker in body though, strange orange-brown unclear color. Smoky flavour, and dry and bitter finish. I’m glad I tasted it, but its no favourite. Served in a funny glass mad a bit angry barman :-) Ok, my belgian is not very good.
