From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden amber with a dense off-white head. Vague caramelish aroma. Light metallic and roasted malty to a light butterish and vague spiced flavour. Light bitter yet also smooth and roasted malty finish.

A dark golden brown bock with a thcik light moka head. A light caramelly aroam with fruity esters. In mouth, a nice oily mouthfeel, caramel, light anis and licorice, sweet malt. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, Nov. 2006. 2.50 euro.

Draught &#40;Beiaard, Amsterdam&#41;<br /> Forboding, yet inviting toffee-coloured turbid appearance. Light creamy head. Toffee in the aroma too - promises some alcohol perhaps? Dry and nutty taste. Sticky, coats the mouth. Quite like a brown ale in part, but a bit too fizzy. Not a coherent beer experience; the smell and taste didn’t match each other, for example.
