Forboding, yet inviting toffee-coloured turbid appearance. Light creamy head. Toffee in the aroma too - promises some alcohol perhaps? Dry and nutty taste. Sticky, coats the mouth. Quite like a brown ale in part, but a bit too fizzy. Not a coherent beer experience; the smell and taste didn’t match each other, for example. oh6gdx (6460), Vaasa, Finland Dec 20, 2007 Draught@Beiaard, Spui, Amsterdam. Amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is spices, malts, hops and some mild yeast. Flavour is quite much malts, some yeast, hops and spices. Pleasant bock. SilkTork (3950), Rochester, Kent, England Nov 19, 2007 Oct, 2007 On tap: Beiaard, Heineken Square, Amsterdam Sweet and crude - underdeveloped. Something oily. Hop extract. [2.3]
