Tap @ Beiaard Enschede. Orange color, cloudy. Butter and some red fruit in the aroma and flavor. Slightly alcoholic and thin. Some yeasty notes towards the finish. Deceptively drinkable.

From tap at Beiaard. Pours cloudy orange with a small, off-white and dense creamy head. Roasted malt and yeasty aroma. Sweet caramel malty flavoured. Slowly increasing bitterness arising into the finish. Slight metallic touch into the finish. Ends mild fruity too. Slight alcohol burn/warmth in the finish.

On tap @ the brewpub. Slightly hazy amber body with a small and dense off-white head. Quite light malty aroma with a hint of gentle roasted caramel. Flavor is malty, light caramel and a funky bitterness with some fruit. A nice and decent ale. Some strange flavors here could be the hops or the spices. Medium body and almost hidden alcohol.

On draft at Beiaard. Amber body with tan head. Cheesy and malty nose. Taste of caramel, spices and pretty sweet. Quite strong but masked well.

On tap at WBF ’09 Gouda and at De Bekeerde Suster, both as Beiaard’s Winterbier, ABV 8.5%. Hazy dark amber beer, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and fruits with a hint of spices. Flavour is also caramel, a little fruits, a bit of spice. Not overly sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Soft mouthfeel. A winterbeer for the masses. OK.

Tap@WinterbierFestival09. Vanilla aroma. Orange color, yellowish head, good lace. Sweet, raisin, vanilla, pretty bitter. Bit thinnish. Ok but not exceptional.

Draught @ De Beiaard, Amsterdam. Red brown with thick lasting head. Bready toffeeish malts with just a touch of earthy hop. I didnt find this particularly interesting and was a bit sweet for me.
